This Privacy Policy (“this Policy”) governs how Nutraceutical Ingredients Pte Ltd of Block 3021 Ubi Avenue 2 #01-169 Singapore 408897 (“NCI”) may, from time to time, collect, use, and disclose your Personal Data. NCI respects the privacy of individuals and is committed to its obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 26 of 2012) and any subsidiary legislation (the “Act”) in respect of personal data.

 

Section 1 — What do we do with your information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting and using it for that specific reason only.

When we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing or membership purposes, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

Upon receiving your request to withdraw consent, we may require a reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request) to process your request; or for us to notify you of the consequences for us acceding to the same, including any legal matters which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. Generally, we will process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.

Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our goods or services to you. In such situations, we shall notify you before processing your request for withdrawal of consent. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us at sales@nci-health.com.

Kindly note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use, and disclose personal data where such collection, use, and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.

Your Personal Data

The types of personal data we collect when you check out online may include the following(s):

  1. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Information specific to the computer or electronic device that you use (“Devices”) to access our website(www.nci-health.com), NCI’s mobile phone applications, and other social media platforms (Facebook page, Instagram account) used by NCI from time to time.

Throughout this article, the term “data” refers to “personal data”.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

Your Personal Data may be collected when you deal with or contact NCI with the following situation(s):

  1. When you make purchases or enquiries at NCI's Website & Social Media;
  2. When you access and/or use any of NCI’s Website & Social Media;
  3. When you participate in any activities organised by NCI, including but not limited to online events, contests, seminars, or any other redemption activities, if any; or
  4. When you contact NCI directly via any form of communication

We generally do not collect your data unless:

  1. it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party which you have duly authorised to disclose your data to us (your “authorised representative”) under the situation where you (or your authorised representative) are aware of the purpose for data collection, and you (or your authorised representative) have provided written consent to the collection and usage of your data for those purposes, or 
  2. collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other laws.

We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your data for a purpose that has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).

We may collect and use your data for any or all the following purposes:

  1. when performing obligations during or in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you;
  2. verifying your identity;
  3. responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints, and feedback from you;
  4. membership purposes; managing your relationship with us;
  5. processing payment or credit transactions;
  6. sending you marketing information about our goods or services, including notifying you of our marketing events, initiatives and promotions, lucky draws, membership and rewards schemes and other promotions, if any;
  7. complying with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, or rules, by any governmental and/or regulatory authority;
  8. any other purposes for which you have provided the information;
  9. Transmitting to any unaffiliated third parties, including our third-party service providers and agents, and relevant governmental and/or regulatory authorities, whether in Singapore or abroad, for the purposes mentioned above;  and
  10. any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above.

 

 

Section 3  — Disclosure of Personal Data

We will treat all information received with the strictest confidentiality. However, we may disclose your data:

  1. when performing obligations during or in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you;
  2. if you violate our Terms of Service; or
  3. to third-party service providers, agents, and other organisations we have engaged to perform any of the functions listed in the collection and use of your data above for us.

NCI may, from time to time, notify you of other purposes for the collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Data. You are deemed to have consented to collecting, using, or disclosing your Personal Data for such purposes with your continued use of NCI’s Website. NCI will not sell or rent your Data to third parties.

We may use other service providers working on behalf of NCI. These third parties are granted access to such personal data to carry out their duties. These service providers are contractually obliged to treat such information in the strictest confidence. It is also contractually forbidden for them to use the data in any other way than required.

Access and Accuracy of Personal Data

If you wish to make:

(a) an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about how we use or disclose your data, or 

(b) a correction request to correct or update any of the data which we hold about you, you may submit your request via email to sales@nci-health.com

We will respond to your request as soon as possible. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days of receiving your request, we will inform you via email within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we cannot provide you with any personal data or make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).

We rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). To ensure that your data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your data via our email at sales@nci-health.com.

 

 

Section 4 — Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your information on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment: Suppose you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase; Shopify stores your credit card data by encrypting through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Section 5 — Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their privacy policies concerning the information we are required to provide for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand how they will handle your personal information.

You should note that certain providers are in or have facilities in a different jurisdiction than you or us. Suppose you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider; your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.For example, if you are located in Canada and a payment gateway processes your transaction in the United States, your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at.

 

 

Section 6 — Protection of Personal Data

To safeguard your data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protection and encryption to secure all storage and transmission of personal data. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

In situations where we need to disclose personal data, we practise an only need-to-know basis both internally or to our authorised third-party service providers and agents. 


If you have a user account on NCI’s Website, please use a strong and unique password containing letters and numbers and remember to sign out of your account when using a shared computer. You should not disclose your password to anyone. If you disclose your password or personal data to a third party, you shall be responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account with NCI.

Retention of Personal Data

We may retain your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies.

 _session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).

 _shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit; used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.

 _shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

Cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.

 _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional

 storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
