Part I: What is Recogen®?
Recogen® is the next generation joint supplement first developed in 2004 by NCI using 100% made-in-German Bioactive Collagen Peptides.
Recogen® uses bovine hides of healthy animals which contains Type 1 and Type 3 collagen (5%). Both are later treated enzymatically and broken down into peptide form to become the BCP found in Recogen®.
The Recogen® Difference
BCP stands for Bioactive collagen peptides. The peptides are called "bioactive" due to their capability to stimulate human fibroblasts (cells that help with the formation of connective tissues), osteoblasts/osteoclasts and chondrocytes (cells involved in bone remodeling, development and growth).
As the protein structure of BCP is similar to the ones found in humans, our bodies can better absorb BCP into the bloodstream.

(1) Extremely low molecular weight
Compared to the 16,000 kDaltons for the conventional joint products on the market, the BCP in Recogen® has an extremely low molecular weight of 3-6 kDaltons. The extremely low molecular weight boosts excellent absorption by the body to reach targeted areas. This is one of the reasons why Recogen® has worked so well for people who have failed to see results with the conventional joint products.
